Requiem for a Day

Based on the work of surrealist Giorgio de Chirico, specifically "Enigma of a Day", and the album A Thousand Suns by Linkin Park. I feel that the ominous and almost dreamlike atmosphere created through color, heavy contrast, and implied environmental vastness of "Enigma" blends perfectly with the harshness and desperate rebellion conveyed through lyrics, instrumentation, and sound bites on the album. I would very much like to continue with this concept and create a graphic novel that follows the attempts of a militant squad of revolutionaries to free their country from an aggressively oppressive government, with each installment being based on the songs consecutively.
